into a fully 3D universe and the minds at id definately had plans for us. The single player levels took us through a tapestry of dimensional worlds where evil setup shop and marked Earth as it's next stop. As a "Slipgate" warrior you travel through dimensions of horro blasting all in your path with weapons that have since become classic to the genre. Not happy with just offering up some of the hottest single PC gaming had ever seen, the Quake multiplayer has become the high water mark for Deathmatch action and remains much more than a mere "cult classic" even now, several years later!

Quake III Arena or Quake 3, abbreviated as Q3A or Q3, is a multiplayer first-person shooter released on December 2, 1999. The game was developed by id Software and featured music composed by Sonic Mayhem and Front Line Assembly. Quake III Arena is the third title in the series and differs from the previous Quakes in that it excludes the normal single-player element, instead focusing upon multiplayer action. The solo experience in Q3 is arena combat versus AI opponents, in a similar style to Unreal Tournament.

When you, as a young boy, are dropped off to visit your uncle, you notice something’s wrong. First, he’s not there to greet you. Second, there’s the explosion that happened right as you arrived. And third, the house seems to be even weirder than you remembered it. Now, your job is to findâ€â€Âand ultimately rescueâ€â€Âyour uncle, by using his newest invention, the Interdimensional Shift Device (or IDS), to switch between dimensions and solve puzzles. That sofa too heavy to move? There’s a dimension for that! Switch to Fluffy Dimension and that sofa is now light as a feather. Need to get up to a high ledge? There’s a dimension for that! Just switch to Anti-Gravity Dimension and things begin to float upward. Need to make things heavier? There’s a dimension for thâ€â€Âwell, you get the idea.
